Eat a cereal that is low in sugar. Cereal with milk is a great breakfast. It is a good all around meal.

Try a new egg sandwich. People seem to love the egg sandwiches at fast food restaurants. Why not make one at home? You can put some cheese or some lean ham on yours. Use your imagination, these are fun to make.

Eggs are good for breakfast. I'm not going to go through the whole mess about how they say eggs are bad for you. Don't buy it. Eat them, but eat them in moderation.

Pancakes. These can be great from time to time. Try to get yourself one of those griddles that you don't need to add fat too. If you get one of those, you will be able to eat these more often. To cut down on calories. Instead of using butter and syrup, put fresh fruit on yours. I love eating mine with fresh fruit on top of them.

Juice is great for breakfast. Get that pick me up that you need without the caffeine of morning coffee. You don't have to worry about getting the shakes if you drink too much juice. Though, you might get the shits, but not the shakes.

Old fashioned toast. This is still a great thing to eat. Just don't load it up with too much butter or other things.

Oatmeal. I know that most of you probably hated oatmeal when you were a kid. But, this is some great stuff. Add some milk and a bit of sugar and you have a breakfast that will stick to your ribs.

Fruit salad can be great for breakfast. I love things that taste refreshing that don't take all day long to make. Throw your favorite fruits together and call it a meal! There you go. A good breakfast isn't as hard as you might think that it is. All you have to do is stay away from the drive through window and you will be fine. Also, don't eat those pasties in a box. I was taking my dog Hugo playing in the park Sunday morning with Clara my best friend who live a block from me and her dog Raffles. Beginning on April 14th, 2007, a firestorm blew through the Internet community with the search engine optimization (SEO) community burning the hottest. The embers were warm and waiting for a strong wind to blow and kick up the flames, but it took Matt Cutts, the Google engineer extraordinaire to fire the flames with an off-the-cuff comment about "paid links."

The flames raged and in most forums, the wind quickly shifted moving the firestorm back towards Cutts and Google. Thread Watch offered the most biting rebuttal to Cutts' comments: http://www.threadwatch.org/node/13925 and http://www.threadwatch.org/node/13941

Aaron Wall at Thread Watch is a respectable fellow, and he tore into Google with a ferociousness that I had not anticipated. Matt Cutts tried to answer some of Aaron's questions, but it seemed that Cutts' rebuttals only added more fuel to the fire.

I would not have wanted to be in Matt Cutts' shoes that week. Oh my, it was brutal!

What Most Readers Took From Cutts' Comments

There were only a few readers who took Matt Cutts' comments to be brotherly-advice.

The vast majority of people were screaming that Google intended to exercise their "monopoly control" over the Internet to run all of their competitors out of business.

Generally, I am not a "reactionary" type person. But for about an hour, even I had a ball in the pit of my stomach.

The ball passed from the pit of my stomach when I read a post that mirrored an opinion I have openly written about numerous times before: How does Google determine the "intent" of a person making a link? They can't!

Understanding The Nuances Of Similar Items

Some people suggest that I should be ashamed of myself for speculating about the future of Google's algorithms. There is even one clown, who has suggested that I should fear mentioning Matt Cutts' name in an article, because I am bound to draw Cutts' ire against me and my businesses. But, I am not worried.

I am simply laying out my "speculative" opinion about what Cutts' comments might mean to my business and yours. You are free to use your own brain to judge the value of my words.

Am I playing a double standard when I say that Google cannot determine the intent of the person placing a link, and then I comment on how I interpret the future of the Google search algorithms? I don't think so, and let me tell you why.

Google uses algorithms (software programs) to make distinctions about what a web page is about, how they value that page, and to judge the nature of a link.

I use my intellect (or as some would suggest, my lack thereof) to make a judgment about what Google has told us we should expect from them in the future.

I trust software to a certain extent, but software cannot always read the nuance that separates two very similar items. So, how can the Google algorithm be expected to determine the intent of a person who placed a link?

It has always been my contention that humans are "required" in any process that must make an interpretation of nuance. In my businesses, we refuse to trust computers to make judgments of nuance, because they can't. That is the reason we employ human beings to process orders.

What Is Google's Intent Behind The Paid Links Issue?

The whole of Cutts' argument seems to hinge on nixing "paid links" that are designed to manipulate or "game Google's PageRank" and to a lesser extent, their organic search results. Google seems to be really agitated that webmasters are "selling links based on the PageRank value of a page."

The problem is that webmasters are selling an intangible asset that is wholly owned by Google and maintained for "Google's benefit." Webmasters are selling this Google asset, but Google will not receive any of the proceeds from that sale.

As a result, Cutts suggested that webmasters should use some method that Google's spider can use to recognize and distinguish "paid links" from "given links." Since Google's algorithm is based on the theory that links are given to websites that deserve those links, the paid links on high PageRank pages can really skew Google's PageRank values and its organic search results.

Here Is Where It Gets Ugly

Both honest and dishonest people inhabit this Internet.

Google wants webmasters who are selling links to distinguish paid links from given links, so that Google can ignore "links purchased to influence PageRank."

If honest people distinguish paid links in a way that Google can recognize, then the market demand for those links will dry up. Once the PageRank value of a link is taken away from the buyer, the buyer will be forced to purchase links based only on the traffic that the specific web page receives. If all paid link decisions were based only on a web page's traffic, then the market value of a link would be decimated.

Once a webmaster tells his link-buying customers that his or her links will no longer carry PageRank value to the buyer's website, then the value of that link will drop in most cases by 80% or more. Why would a webmaster want to reduce the market value of his links by 80%?

Although Google's links do not pass PageRank to the websites that are in their index or paid listings, we have to ask ourselves one thing. Would Google be willing to take a step that would reduce the market value of their own links by 80%? They certainly would not do anything that would cut their own bottom line that deeply, yet they are asking webmasters to do just that.

This is the reason people are teed off at Google. At least 80% of the market value of a link is driven by the PageRank value of the web page where the link will be placed.

Dishonest people don't care to play by the rules; they will continue to sell their PageRank value, as long as they continue to have buyers. Only the honest will suffer.

Link Buyers Are Green With Envy

Link Buyers are envious of the PageRank value given to other web pages, and they want a bit of that value passed over to their own websites.

Link buyers are green with envy, because they can see that little green bar in the top of their browser that tells them how much value Google gives a web page in its algorithms.

If Google were to keep PageRank as a private value, known only to them, then "paid links" would not be an issue for them to manage.

If the public cannot see what a page's PageRank value is, then link buyers would not be able to use PageRank to influence their link buying decisions, and webmasters would not be able to market their PageRank value to other websites.

How Simple Is That?

All Google has to do to solve this problem of theirs, is to take away the indicator people use to buy and sell PageRank.

Someone suggested to me that Google would never do away with the PageRank indicator in their toolbar, because Google feels that it is the only thing that ensures that people will keep the Google toolbar in their browser. Personally, I will continue to use the Google toolbar for my searches, even if the PageRank indicator was not there, because I like the search results Google gives to me. But that is just my opinion, and I am only one person out of millions of Google toolbar users.

What it boils down to is this. If Google is serious about nixing schemes to buy and sell PageRank, then they would simply take their PageRank indicator away from us. But will they take it away? Only time will tell.

Expand What You Do Now

Unless you are providing a very small percentage of the needs of each customer or beneficiary, growing by 21-fold requires adding customers or beneficiaries. Because so many organizations can expand to provide 21 times the number of customers or beneficiaries, that’s a great place to begin. You should start by considering who you will serve as these added customers and beneficiaries and where those benefits will be delivered to make the expansion more practical.

Let me share a story with you that I first examined in an earlier book to help make that point about who and where clearer. Mr. Hustead put up signs on the highway to draw visitors to their store, making a unique appeal. The signs said, “Free Ice Water . . . Wall Drug.” In those days before automobile air conditioning was common, that offer was a powerful appeal. Beginning from this humble expansion of its customer base, Wall Drug now serves more than 20,000 visitors a day during the summer in its Wall, South Dakota, store and many more on its Web site.

Who Is Served and Where

Let’s begin considering volume-expanding business models by looking at “who” is served. The lesson for you is to keep it simple. Stay as constant as you can while becoming more efficient and effective as an organization for your customers and beneficiaries. The simplest way to do this is to put more volume through an existing organizational structure without adding fixed costs or increasing the ratio of variable costs to sales.

In a for-profit organization you will naturally first want to attract the most profitable potential customers. If current customers buy a very small percentage (say 1 to 2 percent) of their needs from you, such a profitable expansion may simply be possible by selling 40 to 50 times more to selected current customers. You are already spending time and money to gather a small part of these customers’ total requirements. In many cases your overhead costs to provide more products and services would not increase.

Let’s assume your current pretax profits are 10 percent of sales and your contribution to profits before overhead costs is 30 percent of sales. This circumstance means that selling more of the same mix of offerings at the same price to an existing customer would almost triple the profit contribution margin on the increased sales. Were that to occur, a 20 times increase in volume would lead to a 60 times increase in profits!

Spending time on learning. You have to master new tools, new techniques for growing your business. Maintain a students mentality.

Spending time on your business back end. After transactions, what happens with your clients, support them, help them growing their businesses. Make a database of happy clients.

Now we know what activities we have to master, but how can we divide these in time perspective? It totally depends on yourself. Where are you in your business? Although the direct cash producing activity is the most important one, if you are a beginner, then it will be the learning activity worthy to master. So, the more you are getting skilled, the more the other activities will come in and take the necessary time to spend.

An Easy Introduction To Business Success

When you first get interested in Wealth Creation you will ask is ‘So how do I find all these investment, property or business opportunities’? A little bit later, you will find that you are overwhelmed with all the possibilities and opportunities are jumping out at you from every corner. So how can you tell which ones to pursue?

If you have read Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, you will know about his ‘Does It Eat Me or Feed Me’ question and it’s a really useful first yardstick of how good a deal may be. In other words, does it put money in your pocket or take money out of your pocket?

If you have to invest some money to get into the opportunity, ask yourself how much, for how long, and what will your return on that investment be by the end of the first year? This is known as your Return On Investment or ROI.

We are often asked, by potential clients, what their ROI will be, on our membership fees, and how fast will they recoup them. Before I tell you our answer to that, let me go into “return on investment” a bit further as it’s important that you understand it.

(The useful thing about the ROI model is that it can be used to compare any potential wealth creation activity, to compare a property deal with a business deal, a stock market investment with an internet opportunity.)

If you can see that something will be putting money into your pocket within a year, and there is another deal that won’t, which one will you go for? If you can see that one deal will return you 10% within a year, and one will return 30% , which deal is the more attractive?

What about one deal where the return will be 30% but will take you longer than one year, and be harder work, against a deal that will return 20% but start returning in six months and is safer?

This is where many new investors and entrepreneurs come unstuck. The first way they come unstuck is because they don’t set a value on their time. Because they often have a lot of it, but not much money, they don’t value their time. Later, when you become more successful, your time is the most precious thing of all.

Think back, when starting a new venture, did you tot up how many man hours you would be putting in and what their value was? New entrepreneurs don’t work out what else they could be doing with those hours (earning some cash!) and so they discount their real investment into the business and value it at zero. Bad move!

They don’t work out their strategy and stick to it; so they alternate between fear and greed, much like the stockmarket shows signs of occasionally, and go for the riskier, harder deal for a bigger return, instead of the safer, easier deal with a slightly lower return.

Think about how many of the second kind of deal could you do, with less effort, less stress and the faster returns?

The other thing they do is try to ‘bend’ a deal to work for them, rather than just going to look for another deal that does, effortlessly.

My ex-business partner, inspirational speaker Gill Fielding, says that she would always rather have the easier deal, leaving her time to get her nails done, rather that one big difficult deal where she would have to really work for her money. And as someone who has ‘bent deals to fit’ on many occasions, I now have to agree 100%.

CREATE YOUR ROI YARDSTICK

The first thing to do is create a yardstick for any deal you are considering. The ROI figure can be applied to anything and you can compare like for like, even if the deals are very different.

How much profit will a deal make in the first year, multiplied by 100, divided by the amount of money you are going to have to invest (or the value of the time you will be spending), to acquire that profit. That, roughly speaking, is your return on investment expressed as a percentage.

A house that costs £50,000 and will generate £2400k per annum of rental income profit, after expenses, roughly generates a 4.8 % return on investment. (Not to be confused with rental yield, which is different again). If you think that the property may grow in value by 10% that year, then add £5,000 to the £2400 rental profit, to find that your ROI is now 14.8%.

Compare that with a similar deal, where you can buy a business card printing machine franchise generating £25,000 per year profit and you have to put in £75,000 to acquire the business. 33.3 % ROI and you have to go round emptying the money. Worth it for those returns, you say?

But what if you had an 80% mortgage on the property, and the interest repayments were covered by the rent, still leaving you with the same rental profit per annum? You have spent £10k to acquire that profit, you have a profit including capital appreciation of £7400k so your ROI is now 74%.

And you don’t even have to collect the money.

But whichever way, both returns are a bit better than the building society returns and both are “Feed Me’s”. Use your yardstick, don’t change the goalposts and choose opportunities to fit your strategy or plan.

IN BUSINESS ALREADY?

If you already have a business, think about the startup costs and how much time you spent setting it up.

Are you getting a 35% return on your investment, year on year? Will you get a 35% return on your investment in ten years even?

What is your exit strategy? Are you going to work in your business till you drop, or will you eventually sell it? Could you attract an investor for your enterprise, right this second? Would you? Could you sell your business today, and if not, think about the reasons why not? Would YOU buy it? If not, why not?

These could be some of the most important questions you ever ask yourself about your business.

Most entrepreneurs think that they have to sink everything into their business in terms of time and money; this shows commitment after all. A serious businessperson, however, would be planning to get their money out again as soon as possible, with a good ROI, while leaving the business to thrive healthily and continue to pay them dividends based on profits.

I recommend reading “E-Myth Revisited”, “Rich Dad’s Guide to Investment” and “4 Hour Work Week”. Make notes, underline, and take on board their wisdom. Your business will never be the same.

OUR ANSWER TO QUESTIONS ABOUT ROI

My partner uber-coach Judith Morgan says “By the time they ask this, I usually know quite a lot about them, and the things I am looking for are

1. Are they bright enough to understand what we teach

2. What is their preparedness to take action (motivation) for whatever reasons

3. Do they have any time - to do the work and take the action - are they willing to read some books and turn the television off?

4. Do they have any equity - so can afford to get into property investment - which depending on how much they’ve got can ensure their financial security and ROI overnight often

5. Could they develop maybe, an enthusiasm for learning how to trade the stockmarket, which could soon match their take-home pay if they are in a job, or

6. Are they self employed or do they already have an under-performing business which we can teach them to run much, much more profitably

So my short answer is “how long is a piece of string” and I tell them that, and why.

Then I go on to give them examples of the girl who made her boyfriend over £18,000 in pure profit in under a week after learning what we know about the internet, the chap who made over £80,000 in one lunchtime by just chatting to another member.

I tell them about the woman who is making in one week more than she used to earn in one month from her old business, and she’s doing it in under half an hour a day, rather than a 12 hour day, the dentist who had enough equity to become a multi-millionaire almost overnight - he actually did it in under six months - and who still asks us when he sees us “Am I a millionaire yet?” laughing as he does so!

The only people who don’t’ get an ROI, are the ones that don’t come to the calls, don’t do the homework or who take no action. Those who don’t listen, who hang onto their limiting and negative beliefs or allow others to influence them accordingly. No change!

You WILL NOT GET HIRED if you continue to make certain mistakes before, during or after your job interviews.

Most of the time, the problem is not the number of jobs available, or the industry you work in, the problem is YOU!

There are certain common interviewing mistakes that everyone knows to avoid. Some of the common mistakes we all know about include giving a great handshake and maintaining good eye contact, etc. However, those mistakes are NOT the primary reasons job seekers aren’t getting job offers or promotions.

In 16 years of job development and recruitment, I can’t think of one single person who did not get hired because he gave a poor handshake.

Here are 3 of my 25 INTERVIEW MISTAKES to AVOID:

1. Before Your Interview: Make sure you do not arrive at your interview 1-2 hours before the scheduled time without getting permission from the hiring manager. When you arrive at an interview 1-2 hours early, you are getting off to a bad start!

Here’s Why: You are forcing the hiring manager to change his schedule to accommodate you. Think about this, no one wants to have someone sitting in their lobby for hours waiting to be interviewed.

Also, arriving this early could be misunderstood as having poor time management skills. The last thing you will want the hiring manager to think is that you do not have good time management skills. Pay careful attention to this if you are applying for a management position.

2. During Your Interview: For the most part, people tend to hire who they like. If you are able to get the interviewer to really like you, and enjoy talking with you, you will greatly increase your chances of getting hired.

Avoid talking too much, being arrogant or boring. Engage in a conversation with the interviewer, and if you feel comfortable enough, ask him questions about his work history or his feelings about his company. You can gain a lot of valuable information by doing this.

3. After Your Interview: Did you know that it is perfectly fine for you to check your own references? That’s right! Call your references and ask them what they are going to say about you.

People like to believe that everyone will have something great to say about them. Believe it or not, almost 20% of job offers are either retracted or not extended at all because of bad references!

Take heed! Even though employers are required to only verify employment, they say and do a lot more! So, check your references and make proper adjustments.

What’s the point of going on interviews if you are going to continue to mess up? There are a series of different mistakes made by job seekers in professional and non-professional categories.
